Here is a cross reference continuity guide for what I think are the most notable variations of translations throughout the Phantasy Star series. This is a problematic area that has really hurt the overall series continuity, depriving English speakers the chance to play the story with the same level of understanding as the sourced language. This is my attempt to clarify it a little bit.
Note: This list is by no means complete; it’s just something I compiled to show the vast differences of certain commonly used names and words that are used recurringly throughout the franchise, which have had wildly different translations from version to version.
